A model says more than a thousand pictures

Up until today, the correct preparation technique for all-ceramics was only explained with the help of pictures. With the new three-dimensional model from Ivoclar Vivadent, the preparation techniques for all-ceramic veneers, inlays, partial crowns, and crowns are graphically and clearly demonstrated.

The model has been designed in cooperation with Prof. Dr. med. dent. Edelhoff, one of the most renowned lecturers on prosthodontics and materials science at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. Special attention was given to user-friendliness during the development of the model. The minimum preparation requirements for restorations fabricated of IPS Empress (leucite glass-ceramics) and IPS e.max (e.g. oxide or lithium disilicate glass-ceramics) are visible on the sides, while the corresponding indications are stated on the underside. «It is precisely such innovative auxiliaries that are very much appreciated by dentists. Once again, we can prove our competence in the field of all-ceramics», explains Sibylle Hummel, Product Manager All-Ceramics at Ivoclar Vivadent.

The three-dimensional preparation model can be used in all the instances where questions on preparations for all-ceramic restorations are being discussed. For example, in training courses.
