Simply effective

Schaan, Liechtenstein – 29 April 2010

When it comes to the final polishing of composite restorations, dentists prefer systems that allow them to achieve high-gloss results quickly in only a few working steps and without having to exchange instruments. With OptraPol “Next Generation”, Ivoclar Vivadent is launching a one-step polishing system that precisely meets these demands and is clearly more effective.

OptraPol “Next Generation“ is an advanced diamond polishing system that offers significantly improved polishing properties. It is suitable for finishing and polishing all popular composite restoratives in just one step. The premium silicone polishers are highly filled (up to 72 wt.%) with micro-fine diamond crystals. Consequently, the results of the excellent polishing performance are visible within seconds. Highly esthetic composite restorations exhibit a long-lasting natural-looking lustre. Moreover, the polishers effectively remove any surface roughness and leave restorations, e.g. made of Tetric EvoCeram, looking exceptionally smooth and shiny. As a result, the restorations are less susceptible to staining and the accumulation of plaque. When using the one-step polishers of the OptraPol range, dentists do not have to exchange instruments. Consequently, there is no danger of confusing different grit sizes. In contrast to flexible polishing discs, the OptraPol polishers come in different shapes. Therefore, they allow the restoration surfaces in anterior and posterior teeth to be polished with even higher precision.

The polishers are wear resistant and dimensionally stable and thus very long lasting. They can be autoclaved up to 20 times and reused. Therefore, these premium diamond polishers are extremely economical.

The one-step diamond polishing system OptralPol “Next Generation” will be available worldwide from April 2010 onwards.
