Now suitable for translucent substructures

Ivoclar Vivadent introduces new coloured dentin and incisal materials.
Newly developed IPS e.max Ceram dentin and incisal materials allow translucent substructures to be given the desired level of brightness.
At the beginning of the all-ceramics era, lithium disilicate and zirconium oxide ceramics were only available in the medium and high opacity range. The opaque substructures achieved with these materials reflect light generously and increase the brightness of the completed restorations. The classic IPS e.max Ceram Dentin and Incisal materials are tailored to these levels of opacity to enable an ideal match with the A-D shade guide.
Translucent substructures are less capable of reflecting light than are opaque ones. Ivoclar Vivadent has developed the new "Power Dentin" and "Power Incisal" materials to compensate for the drop in light reflection seen in translucent frameworks. The especially shaded materials are particularly suited for cases that require a heightened level of brightness. The desired brightness can be achieved without having to modify the customary layering scheme. Impressive esthetic results are achieved due to the lifelike light scattering effect provided by these materials.
New Gingiva colours
In addition to the new dentin and incisal materials, Ivoclar Vivadent has extended the range of Gingiva colours to include the new layering materials IPS e.max Ceram Gingiva BG 34 and IPS e.max Ceram Intensive Gingiva IG 5. These shades round out the company's Gingiva Solutions range of materials.
Ten years of success
IPS e.max Ceram is the leading layering ceramic for lithium disilicate and zirconium oxide and is backed up by 10 years of clinical experience. It features an optimally coordinated coefficient of thermal expansion and as a result is equally suitable for veneering substructures made of lithium disilicate glass-ceramics, e.g. IPS e.max, and zirconium oxide, e.g Zenostar from Wieland. A consistent layering scheme allows users to achieve a harmonious shade match in no time at all. This increases the efficiency of the laboratory. The materials maintain their shade even if they are fired several times, demonstrate a compact surface structure and provide excellent firing results. They therefore meet all the requirements placed on modern all-ceramic materials.
