NATURAL ESTHETICS WITH ZIRCONIUM OXIDE

Highly esthetic requirements have always been the strength of IPS e.max. The new IPS e.max ZirCAD is designed to live up to this standard, providing predictable outcomes and impressive results. The natural progression of shade and translucency of the polychromatic IPS e.max ZirCAD MT Multi, the different levels of translucency (MO, LT, MT) and versatile processing options enable astonishing esthetic results.

IMPRESSIVE RESULTS ACHIEVED WTIH EFFICIENCY

Highly esthetic restorations accomplished in only a few processing steps and in a minimum amount of time. The high degree of esthetic accuracy achieved in the milling process reduces the need for time-consuming further processing. Mill, customize, glaze – done. It’s that easy to achieve an esthetic restoration.

Coordinated sintering programs maximize the efficiency of the process. All IPS e.max ZirCAD restorations milled in the course of a day can be sintered overnight in the Programat S1 1600 with an overnight program. And if now and again the restorations have to be completed quickly, a speed sintering program is available.

HIGH STRENGTH COMBINED WITH IMPRESSIVE ESTHETICS

Restorations with considerably reduced wall thicknesses can be created as the material provides both high strength, ranging between 850 and 1,200 MPa (Mean biaxial flexural strength, R&D Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein), and high fracture toughness. A trade-off in translucency is not required.

A finely honed balance between low wall thickness and optimum translucency allows the fabrication of restorations that are tooth preserving and natural looking.

High flexibility and versatile applications

IPS e.max ZirCAD is the material of choice for cases in which high mechanical stability, thin restoration walls and natural-looking esthetics are of the essence. It is exactly with regard to these aspects that the IPS e.max zirconium oxide portfolio sets new standards.

Discs are available in the most popular A–D shades and in four levels of translucency:

  • IPS e.max ZirCAD MT Multi – the esthetic disc with a natural progression of shade and translucency
  • IPS e.max ZirCAD MT – the creative disc
  • IPS e.max ZirCAD LT – the all-round disc

IPS e.max ZirCAD MT Multi – the esthetic disc

IPS e.max ZirCAD MT Multi is designed for the anterior and posterior region. An optimized raw material mixture provides the material with enhanced mechanical properties (850 MPa - Mean biaxial flexural strength, R&D Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein). The progression of shade and translucency maximizes the appearance of monolithic crowns and bridges without necessitating the application of characterizations and optimizes the efficiency in the lab.

Reproducing the tooth shade is made easy by the polychromatic discs in the A-D shades.

IPS e.max ZirCAD MT Multi allows low wall thicknesses of 0.8 mm (anterior tooth) and 1 mm (posterior tooth) to be realized.

IPS e.max ZirCAD MT is the creative one in the portfolio. The material combines sound mechanical stability (850 MPa - Mean biaxial flexural strength, R&D Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein) with impressive esthetic properties as a result of an optimized raw material mixture. The disc lends itself to various processing options and offers a high degree of flexibility. The A–D shade system enables an efficient fabrication of esthetic monolithic or layered restorations.

The A–D Colouring and Effect Colouring Liquids are designed for maximum customization prior to sintering.

IPS e.max ZirCAD MT allows low wall thickness of 0.8 mm (anterior tooth) and 1 mm (posterior tooth) to be realized.

IPS e.max ZirCAD LT – the all-round disc

IPS e.max ZirCAD LT is the allrounder in the portfolio. The material combines high mechanical stability (1,200 MPa - Mean biaxial flexural strength, R&D Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein) with pleasing esthetics. These properties make IPS e.max ZirCAD LT suitable for the fabrication of minimally invasive single-tooth restorations and stable multi-unit bridge and framework structures. Implant-supported superstructures supplement the offering. Restorations can be produced using a variety of techniques: monolithic method, infiltration, partial veneering and complete veneering.

IPS e.max ZirCAD LT is available in the most popular A–D shades and group shades.

IPS e.max ZirCAD MO – the classic disc

IPS e.max ZirCAD MO has been developed for application in the classic veneering technique. Even discoloured preparations and metal cores can be effectively concealed due to the material's heightened opacity. It allows the fabrication of customized, highly esthetic restorations.

This material is particularly suitable for the fabrication of multi-unit bridges due to its excellent flexural strength of 1,150 MPa (mean biaxial flexural strength, R&D Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein) and high fracture toughness.

IPS e.max ZirCAD MO allows restorations to be realized in low wall thicknesses of 0.4 mm (anterior tooth) and 0.6 mm (posterior tooth).

IPS e.max ZirCAD blocks

IPS e.max ZirCAD MO and LT are also available in blocks and can be processed with various CAD/CAM systems.

IPS e.max ZirCAD LT blocks demonstrate a high flexural strength (1,200 MPa – Mean biaxial flexural strength, R&D Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein) and high fracture toughness. Wall thicknesses can be significantly reduced (posterior crowns: 0.6 mm; anterior crowns: 0.4 mm), so conservative preparation is possible. The restorations can be seated using a self-adhesive or conventional method.

Creating a new smile with esthetic zirconium oxide, even in challenging situations 

Translucent IPS e.max ZirCAD MT zirconium oxide provided an ideal basis for this esthetic four-unit bridge and the adjoining two crowns. Prior to the sintering process, the frameworks were infiltrated. The desired esthetic appearance was achieved with the IPS e.max Ceram layering ceramic, which is optimally coordinated with the zirconium oxide.

Extremely stable and esthetic: posterior bridge with three units

Programat S1 1600

The Programat S1 1600 is a compact furnace for the sintering of frameworks and restorations made of IPS e.max ZirCAD. The furnace is designed for sintering processes of up to 1,600°C. The special Programat Dosto Tray sinter tray increases the sintering capacity by up to 40%. The time required to sinter a crown framework is reduced to 75 minutes. In addition, all IPS e.max ZirCAD restorations can be sintered together overnight using a single program.
