Arriving

Due to Koelnmesse’s central location, which is conveniently situated for many transport links, visitors can quickly reach the exhibition centre from many European cities both within and outside of Germany by car, train, plane and local public transport.

Arriving by car and taxi

Ten highways lead into Cologne’s beltway, which brings you directly to the exhibition center without junctions or traffic lights. Simply follow the green signs marked „Koelnmesse”. There are about 14,500 parking spaces around the exhibition center. Free shuttle buses run from the car parks to the entrances.

Parking

Please follow the green signs to "Koelnmesse". Once in the area surrounding the exhibition center, you will be guided to the appropriate parking spaces by our modern traffic guidance system. There is a total of approx. 14,500 parking places available for our guests. The parking spaces are optimally linked to our entrances. You can reach them on foot or, if applicable, using our complimentary shuttle buses.

Arriving by bus and train

Due to its location in the center of Europe, Koelnmesse can be quickly reached by trains of Deutsche Bahn from many cities in Germany and abroad. Stations/Stops around the exhibition center:

Entrance South:
S-Bahn: Köln Messe/Deutz, S6, S11, S12, S13
Tram- or subway: KÖLN, Bf Deutz/Messe (U), Line 1 and 9

Entrance East, West, North:
Koelnmesse, Köln-Deutz Line 3 and 4

Your Admission Ticket serves as Public Transport Ticket (VRS):
For the duration of the respective trade fair, all admission tickets and trade fair passes that display the symbol of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg (VRS) are valid for free travel on busses, S-Bahns (commuter trains), underground trains, and regional trains within the extended VRS network. They are only valid for travel to and from the Koelnmesse exhibition centre. Not included are Deutsche Bahn trains that are subject to a supplementary charge as for instance IC/EC or ICE.

Arriving by plane

Cologne-Bonn Airport can be reached by plane in about 60 minutes from many major European cities, such as Copenhagen, Berlin, Paris, Prague, London, Munich, Milan, and Zurich. The exhibition center can be reached quickly and easily from the airport. In addition, high-speed ICE trains connect the airports in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, and Brussels directly to the exhibition center.
