Ivoclar Vivadent settles its patent suit against Heany Industries with license agreement

Ivoclar Vivadent announced that it will dismiss a lawsuit it filed against Heany Industries, Inc. after executing a settlement and license agreement with Heany Industries. The agreement was executed to end patent litigation involving Ivoclar’s United States Patent Nos. 7,604,759 and 8,141,217, and several related foreign patents that cover zirconia dental blanks and methods of processing those blanks. This lawsuit and agreement is the latest in several patent enforcement measures conducted by Ivoclar Vivadent involving its patents protecting dental ceramics technology.
