The Bluephase family is growing

Schaan, Liechtenstein - 23 March 2009

Ivoclar Vivadent introduces Bluephase 20i and Bluephase C8, two new versions of the classic Bluephase polymerization light. All three lights are based on the same technology offering a halogen-like broadband range – due to the "polywave LED".

The new generation of Bluephase has been specifically designed to meet the various user needs. Bluephase 20i stands for the highest intensity, Bluephase C8 for value for money. However, the two lights have one common feature: the integrated "polywave" LED, which – like halogen lights – generates a broadband light spectrum ranging from 380 to 515 nm. Bluephase lights are therefore universally suitable for all photoinitiators and materials.

Powerful and fast – Bluephase 20i
The battery-operated Bluephase 20i combines a maximum light intensity of 2,000 mW/cm2 in the Turbo program with extremely time-saving curing times as short as five seconds for light and dark composites while preserving the health of the gingiva. Bluephase 20i is equipped with four easy-to-use programs, the proven Click & Cure function, and an integrated fan for continuous cooling.

Economical and consistent – Bluephase C8
The mains-operated Bluephase C8 curing light, featuring a light intensity of 800 mW/cm2 and three curing programs, offers an excellent price/performance ratio. The parallel-walled 10-mm light probe for particularly large restorations renders time-consuming multiple polymerizations unnecessary and the integrated fan eliminates long waiting times.

Awarded by the Dental Advisor
The classic Bluephase with a light intensity of 1,200 mW/cm2 received the 2009 "Top Light-curing Unit" award from the Dental Advisor. This is the highest prize awarded per product category.
